Recipe of my family favorite – My Insta-Pot Root Beer Chicken Wings
Step By Step Recipe with Pictures
Ingredients for yummy insta-pot root beer chicken wings
- 20 Frozen Pre-cooked Chicken wings – cook from frozen
- 1 cup Root Beer
- 1 cup of water
- 1 tbsp Onion Salt
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- Sea Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Find your favorite marinating tray I love my tupperware marinating tray but any bowl will work
Place your frozen chicken wings in the tray
Add the 1 cup Root Beer – make sure you drink the rest while you cook 🙂 – pour evenly around the wings
Sprinkle with 1 tbsp Onion Salt or to taste
Sprinkle wings with 1 tbsp Paprika or taste
After the chicken wings are all spiced up. Put lid on tupperware marinating tray – shake, shake, shake
shake, shake, shake
still shaking the tupperware marinating tray
Now transport to your Insta-Pot.
Add 1 cup of water
Close lid and make sure the moisute catcher is in place – or you may have a mess on your counter
This is where I keep the pressure dial
Click on POULTRY on your Insta-Pot
This is how the settings should be on the Insta-Pot – Let it cook for 15 minutes.
After the 15 minutes or when it says done. Remove the lid – be careful of the steam
Prep a cookie sheet or baking pan – don’t mind the coconut shrimp – I just felt like shrimp with my chicken wings. Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Dump or place the chicken wings on the baking sheet including any juices that maybe left in the pot – cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 – 12 minutes.
Take them out of the oven and Grab your favorite sauce – mine right now is an Alberta business – Mickey Jays but you can use whatever you like – The rootbeer just gives the chicken a nice flavour throughout.
I sauce on half of the wings and plain on the other half – Ready to enjoy. DELICIOUS. Please let me know when you try my recipes. We love the feedback.
